As Quebec’s Construction Holiday approaches (last two weeks of July), Zoo de Granby encourages families to escape the city and enjoy a full day of discovery, fun and refreshment. From Booshikë , Québec’s largest aquatic play structure, to unforgettable animal encounters, new immersive experiences and Zoo at Night , everything is in place for a memorable summer getaway. Unveiled earlier this summer, Booshikë has quickly become one of the season’s most anticipated family attractions.
The result of a $5 million investment and developed in collaboration with Québec-based Vortex , a global leader in aquatic play design, this new addition transforms the Amazoo water park experience with an immersive environment designed for visitors of all ages. Visitors can explore three distinct zones: Elevation : thrilling slides, elevated structures, and interactive play features for adventure seekers; Family Space: a welcoming and accessible area where the whole family can play together; Lagoon : a safe environment designed especially for young children. With its inclusive and intergenerational approach, Booshikë was designed so that all families can fully enjoy the experience, notably through installations adapted for youth with reduced mobility.
Much More Than a Water Park In addition to discovering Booshikë, visitors will be able to enjoy the full range of experiences offered at Zoo de Granby this summer, including animal encounters, educational activities, animal feedings, and new immersive experiences. Among the season’s new attractions, the Zoo is also offering 360° virtual reality experiences that allow visitors to explore fascinating natural habitats around the world, in collaboration with Wild Immersion. At sunset, visitors can also experience Zoo at Night , a unique immersive adventure that offers the opportunity to discover animals in a completely different atmosphere before spending the night in comfortable mini cabins.
Visitors will also have the chance to reconnect with their favourite star species, including lions, white rhinoceroses, and ruffed lemurs, for unforgettable moments throughout the site. A Reimagined Visitor Experience To enhance the visitor experience, Zoo de Granby has also modernized its admission facilities with new access control gates, providing faster and smoother entry to the site. Visitors are also encouraged to download the free Zoo de Granby mobile app to access the interactive map, plan their day, and receive real-time information about activities and services available on site.
A Summer to Experience Fully With the opening of Booshikë, its immersive experiences, and its unique animal encounters, Zoo de Granby promises families a summer filled with adventure, discovery, and unforgettable memories.
